Hello my sweet sweet ladies,
I hope that your week has gone well. I missed seeing you all on Wednesday, but I hope that you enjoyed your "snow day" as much as I did! I spent the day Tuesday going sledding, making snow angels, and having snow ball fights. To me, snow is my gift from the Lord that He sends to show me how much He loves me. Each of you may have these same kind of gifts. Maybe your gift is that you see the Lord's love when you look at a beautiful mountain top, or a vast ocean, or when you look into the eyes of your children.
The weeks before and leading up to my "snow" day, my mind was perplexed with questions about the direction of my life. And how I could honor God best with path that I chose. As many of us women are planners, I too am a planner of my life. God was teaching me to trust him and not what the world says should be the plan. As I had found peace with the situation and as God was showing me that it is HE that is in control, it snowed. As it snowed my thought was "God Provides" just in time. We will definitely see the provision of God through the text of Esther. God provided for Esther and the Jews just in time to fulfill their needs.
Ladies, we find ourselves in the midst of a peculiar book. Never once is the name of God mentioned, but God is ever more present in the book. We see God's provision for the lives of the Israelites and His provision in our lives. He provides for our needs, not just what we desire. So, we thank God for His provision. We thank God for the "snow" that he sends in our lives.
Romans 8:38 "For I am convinced that neither death nor life, neither angels nor demons neither the present or the future, nor any powers, neither height nor depth, nor anything else in all creation, will be able to separate us from the love of God that is in Christ Jesus our Lord."
I will see you Saturday at 9:30 am with Coffee (or water :) for the non-caffeinated women.
Love you and See you at 9:30 am!
Bonnie
PS These emails will serve as a weekly reminder for our study. I will fill them with Esther Trivia, so that you may quiz your self on what we learned the previous week. They will also serve as a form for me to email out prayer requests. I am eventually going to move the format to a Blog/website for our women's ministry. Then I will just send you a link to click on to go to the site. You can go to http://gsbcladiesministry.blogspot.com
